South Hykeham v Bishop King

The first Domino’s game of this season took place during half time of the Lincoln City v Barnet game.  Both South Hykeham and Bishop King took to the pitch to try and progress into the next round of the competition.
The first shot on goal came shortly after kick off from Logan Watt (Bishop King), which South Hykeham’s goalkeeper saved brilliantly and put it out for a corner.  Logan also had another shot which came off his knee from a corner that was perfectly put into the box by Joshua Pickersgill.
South Hykeham then stepped up a gear and bombarded Bishop Kings goal with shots. Jake Burrows had several shots which the goalkeeper saved, went over the crossbar and also hit the post.  Other shots came from Brad Hayes and Alex Morley but nothing was going in for them.
The final whistle went and the game ended in a draw.  The team to progress into the next round is South Hykeham with the most shots on and off target.  Well done to both teams for taking part in a great opening game!

Chad Varah v Meadows

Chad Varah Primary and The Meadows Primary stepped out onto the Sincil Bank Turf during half time of the Lincoln City v Stevenage.  The game kicked off and straight away shots were being fired at both goals.
Thomas Lowe, Callum Clifton and Noah Brant all had shots on and off target for The Meadows. But on the 5 minute mark the first goal of the game came from Connor Stocks from Chad Varah.  From then on Chad Varah continued to put The Meadows defence under pressure. A ball was played forward from Chad Varah to Connor Stocks who flicked the ball behind him into the goal to put Chad Varah 2-0 up with 3 minutes to go.  This goal started chants from both the home and away supporters who got behind both teams playing.
One minute later Kian Keeley received the ball on the half way line and fired the ball into the top right hand corner which sparked further cheers and chants from the fans. Connor Stocks then finished off his excellent performance by receiving the ball and putting it under The Meadows goalkeeper to get his hat-trick.
After a thrilling 10 minute game the final whistle blew and Chad Varah progress to the quarter finals with a 4-0 victory over The Meadows.
