Which? reports Good Food Guide tasters prefer Domino’s Pizza

Which? magazine recently reported that in a taste test by a Good Food Guide panel, Domino’s Pizza came out on top against rivals Pizza Hut and an independent takeaway pizza chain.

The panel compared the quality of the toppings and base, the temperature of the pizza and, most importantly, the taste.

On hearing the news, Chris Moore, Chief Executive Officer for Domino’s, said: “At Domino’s we are passionate about quality and we are delighted to hear that this has been recognised in a taste test.  Our pizzas are made to order using fresh dough and 100% mozzarella cheese.  We are proud to provide a premium quality product and this is why we are the number one pizza delivery company.”

Ties – another classic but it’s also a great excuse to get rid of dodgy novelty ties that may be lurking in his wardrobe

DVDs – whether he’s a Trekkie or a Gleek, he’ll need something to watch in between the football

An activity day – send him off to drive a supercar or push him over the edge with a day’s zorbing

CDs – there’s always a special compilation CD for such occasions. Take a look at the latest tunes for Dads or make your own if his taste is a little unique

Domino’s Football Frenzy

June 15th, 2010

Since pizza is one of England’s favourite meals to eat while watching football, Domino’s Pizza will follow the game together with all British fans. To coincide with England’s campaign in South Africa, Domino’s Pizza is hosting three competitions with delicious prizes.

Today, Domino’s Pizza has launched a competition on Facebook to find the current squad’s best lookalikes. To enter the Footballer Lookalike Competition, fans can upload a picture of themselves or their friends via the events tab of the Facebook fan page of Domino’s Pizza UK.  Every week, Domino’s will hand out free pizza vouchers to the best Lampard lookalike, Defoe double or other imitation of one of Fabio Capello’s chosen 23. Meanwhile, Facebook users can vote for their favourite picture too by clicking ‘like’ under each picture. After four weeks, the public’s favourite will win a free pizza party (worth £100) for the final.

Fans on Facebook can also win a free pizza during every England match. If, for example, Defoe is the first English player to score a goal, the first person to write “Defoe scored me a free Domino’s!” on the official Domino’s Pizza UK fan page wins a free pizza.

And last but not least, footie fans can compete for the Domino’s Cup in the online football game On me ‘ead . Prizes include 25 Domino’s Pizza Parties, each worth £100, and various discount codes.  Players have to head footballs from one side of the screen to the other, without letting them hit the ground. Not recommended during the match – you don’t want to miss the first goal!

Let's do Lunch!

June 2nd, 2010

Lunch for a meeting?
Pizza is a great treat for lunchtime meetings and offers something for everyone with our wide range of toppings and side orders. We recommend that a large pizza, with 10 slices, serves three to four people – but if you are feeding those with a larger appetite, we suggest you work on four slices per person. Our medium pizzas have eight slices and a small has six.

Don’t forget to make sure you cater for any vegetarians by having at least one veggie pizza and adding a portion of potato wedges. If you don’t know the attendees’ likes and dislikes, it might be best avoiding spicy pizzas, such as those with jalapenos on them.

As well as pizza, we would suggest you order one chicken side dish for every two people..

Guaranteed to get those creative juices flowing and ease the tension in any meeting!

Lunch for one?

Our personal pizza offers four slices – perfect for one person. Or if you are having lunch with a friend, why not add a bit of variety with a half and half medium pizza.

Don’t forget that we offer a reduced fat cheese and a personal Chicken Feast pizza with Delight Mozzarella is just 560 calories – less than a Prêt a Manger Mozzarella Pesto Bloomer.

If you are choosing from our speciality pizzas, the lowest calorie options tend to be a plain cheese and tomato, vegetarian or even a Texas BBQ pizza.

We have a lunchtime deal for one person that includes a drink and, if you fancy something really special, why not pick up some delicious hot cookies for a lovely sweet treat after your pizza.
